How to use the quote generator
Fill in your business details, your client's details, and add each item or service you're quoting for - the totals update live on the right as you type.
When you're happy with it, click "Download / Print Quote". This opens your browser's print dialog - choose "Save as PDF" to download a copy, or print it directly.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a quote and an invoice?
A quote is sent before work begins, stating what you would charge - it's an offer, not a request for payment. An invoice is sent after (or during) the work, requesting actual payment. See our guide on creating invoices for the full breakdown.
Why does a quote need a "valid until" date?
Costs change - materials, time availability, and pricing can all shift. A validity period protects you from being held to an old price indefinitely, and gives the client a clear reason to decide promptly.
Is my quote data saved anywhere?
No - everything happens in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers or stored.
Once a client accepts, how do I turn this into an invoice?
Use the same details in our Invoice Generator - just switch the framing from an offer to a payment request, and add your actual due date and payment details.
